Happy New Beer formed in late 2005 when a group of musicians from various well-known bands, including covers band 'Them Naked Men', David Bowie tribute 'Ashes to Ashes' and Beautiful South and Housemartins tribute 'The Beautiful Couch', decided to get together to pool their talents, and years of experience, to create a brand new band. 

We cover songs chosen from a wide spectrum of artists, ranging from classic tracks by the likes of REM, David Bowie, The Doors, James and Pink Floyd, through to modern-day anthems by bands such as The Killers and Coldplay.

We always aim to throw something different in to the mix, so just when you might be thinking "They're just another typical covers band..." you'll be surprised when you hear forgotten gems by the likes of Neil Young, The Levellers, The Hothouse Flowers, and even Johnny Cash!

Other bands we cover include: The Cult, Elbow, Foo Fighters, Primal Scream, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath and Snow Patrol.
