28/02/10 - LAST NIGHT - Massive thanks to everyone who came to see us at Barn Farm last night! We're back there again on Saturday 31st July. Plus, we've just secured an additional date there on Saturday 4th September. Put 'em in your diaries folks!

NEW GIG BOOKING - We no longer have a month off in June, as we're now booked to play at The Black Horse on Saturday 5th!

NEXT GIG - Our next gig is at The Alex in Withernsea this Saturday night. Fingers crossed for no powercuts this time!!

25/02/10 - Happy Birthday to our guitarist Leroy, who just remembered he had a birthday today!

  Hope to see you all on Saturday when we make our first appearance at Barn Farm in Camerton.

17/02/10 - Thanks to everyone who came to The Sportsman last Friday. Our next gig is Saturday 27th at

  Barn Farm, Camerton. Our first time there!

08/02/10 - This Friday sees our first gig of 2010 take place at The Sportsman on Hedon Road. Hope to see

  you there!

1/2/10 - Happy New Beer have just been confirmed to play Remars in Withernsea on Saturday 2nd

  October. Other gigs in Withernsea this year are:

  Saturday 6th March at The Alexandra Hotel, Bank Holiday Monday 3rd May and Monday 27th

  December at The Spread Eagle.

31/1/10 - A rescheduled date at The Alex has just been confirmed for Saturday 6th March.

30/1/10 -   Sorry for the short notice, but tonights gig at The Alex in Withernsea has been CANCELLED.

  This is due to a major power-cut that has effected the venue all day.

 

  Initially, we hoped the power would be back on by early evening, but we've now been told it's

  unlikely to be back on till after 11pm.

 

  Sorry again, and we hope to see you at a gig soon. Keep checking the website for news of a

  rescheduled date there, as well as news of all our other up-coming gigs.

23/01/10 - As you've probably already noticed, we've revamped our website and given it a brand new look

  for 2010. Hope you like it!

  On this homepage you'll find detailed information about our Next Gig, as well as a brief listing of

  the next three gigs after that. We've now also got a Live Twitter Box (to the right) so we can do

  quick updates on the move!

  As before, use the menu at the top to navigate around the site and don't forget to leave us a

11/01/10 - First of all, sorry for the lack of updates over the past few weeks. Hope everyone had a good

  Christmas and New Year celebrations! Now, back to business. Our next gig is at The Alex in

  Withernsea on Saturday 30th January. Other confirmed dates for 2010 so far are.....

  Barn Farm - Saturday 27th February, Saturday 31st July

  The Sportsman - Friday 12th February, Saturday 20th March, Friday 16th July,

  Friday 3rd December.

  The Polar Bear - Saturday 27th March and Saturday 7th August

03/11/09 - A massive thank you to everyone who has supported the band through 2009. We're

  taking a few weeks off from gigging in the run up to Christmas in order to learn

  some new songs, and will be playing our final gig of 2009 at The Spread Eagle in

  Withernsea on Sunday 27th December.

  We're now taking bookings for 2010 so if you're interested in booking the band,

  please contact us through the Form on the "Contact Us" page and we'll get back to

  you!

 

12/10/09 - Thanks to everyone who came to see us at The Polar Bear on Spring Bank last

  Friday. We'll be back there again in the new year. The bands next public gig will be

  on Saturday 24th October at The Sportsman, Hedon Road, Hull. Hope to see you

  there!

23/09/09 - Happy New Beers' next gig is on Friday 9th October at The Polar Bear, Springbank,

  Hull. We are also pleased to announce that we have our first bookings for 2010 at

  the Polar Bear on Saturday 27th March and Saturday 7th August. Please keep

  checking our website on a regular basis for further details of next years gigs!

19/09/09 - Our next gig is at The Alexandra Hotel in Withernsea this Saturday (19th) night.

  Hope to see you there! Also, Happy Birthday today to our Drummer Nick. Have a

17/08/09 - Appologies for the lack of news updates over the past couple of weeks. It's been a

  busy time for us with gigs in Holmpton, Valley Gardens Withernsea and The

  Sportsman on Hedon Road all been played over the past few weekends. Thanks to

  everyone who came to see us at those venues!

  Our next gig is at The Spread Eagle in Withernsea on Bank Holiday Monday (31st)

  afternoon. We'll be taking to the stage around 3pm-ish. Hope to see you there!

  In other news... due to circumstances beyond our control, our gig at Bilton Club on

  Sunday 20th September has been cancelled due to the venue deciding they no

  longer want bands! However, we are pleased to announce that in the wake of that

  cancellation, we have just been confirmed to play at The Alexandra Hotel in

  Withernsea on Saturday 19th September.

 

26/07/09 - Thank you to everyone who came to see us at our first appearance at the Hare and

  Hounds in Burstwick last night. We'd like to offer our sincere appologies for the

  delay in starting our set. Unfortunately, just as we were about to go on, our mixing

  desk decided to break down on us! This meant a hectic dash back to our rehearsal

  room near Patrington to get a replacement! After some frantic cable swapping we

  finally managed to get things up and running. So, sorry once again and thanks to

  everyone who made it a good night (in the end!). We will be back there (WITHOUT

  techincal hitches) so stay tuned to the website for news!

  Our next gig is this coming Saturday (1st August) at the George and Dragon in

  Holmpton. Hope to see you there!

13/07/09 - Massive thanks to everyone who came to see us at The Spread Eagle last Friday

  night! We'll be back there on Bank Holiday Monday afternoon at the end of August.

  Our next gig sees us make our long-awaited debut at the Hare and Hounds in

  Burstwick on Saturday 25th July. Hope to see you there!

02/06/09 - The postponed June 27th Sportsman gig has now been rescheduled for Saturday

  In other news. we're currently hard at work rehearsing some new songs (which we'll

  keep as surprise, for now!) and are getting ready for our debut at the Polar Bear in

  Hull on Friday 19th June.

  Website Downtime: We've been informed by the hosting company that our website

  is likely to be offline between 9:30am and 10:30am on Monday 18th May while they

  do an upgrade to the system.

  Postponed Gig: We're unfortunately having to postpone our Saturday 27th June gig

  at the Sportsman on Hedon Road until a later date due to me (Tim) making a cock-up

  with my free dates. Apologies to Pam and staff at the Sportsman for the inconvenience

  caused by this. Please keep checking the website for news of a rescheduled date.

07/05/09 - Rehearsal tonight! We're working on some new songs which we're hoping to have

  ready in time for the Polar Bear gig next month. We may even get one or two ready

  for the Easington Gig next week! (see below for details of that one!)

04/05/09 - A small number of tickets are still available for our Easington United

  AFC presentation night gig on Sat 16th May at Easington Community Hall. Tickets

  are £5 and are available from Rich Lusmore (01964 650133). (Ticket Price includes

  food).

  Following our two football presentation night gigs this month, our next public gig is

  on Friday 19th June at the Polar Bear on Spring Bank in Hull. Hope to see you there!

  Finally, Clubbers and the rest of the band (minus Tim who was off gigging in some

  remote part of Norfolk) enjoyed a night away in Whitley Bay this weekend to

  celebrate Clubbers' birthday. By all accounts it was a bit of a "boosy do"

  and the pictures that have come back confirm this! We'll be adding some to the

  image gallery (when they've been censored!). So Happy Birthday for tomorrow

  Clubbers! But for today, May the 4th be with you... (sorry, again!)

 

23/04/09 - We're currently busy working on new songs to add our set which will be

  creeping in over the next couple of months! Check our Gig List to find out where

13/04/09 - Massive thanks to everyone who turned up to see us at The Spread today. We hope

  you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did! It was good to see plenty of new faces

  in the crowd, as well as many regulars! We've got a few photos and videos from the

  day which we'll be adding to the website soon (thanks to Pete Acko, amongst

  others!). If you were at the gig and have any pics / vids that we could use on the site

  NEW SONGS! Todays gig saw the debut of three new tracks which are now part of

  our set list. They are - Money for Nothing (Dire Straits), Waltzing Along (James) and

  Angel of Harlem (U2).

31/03/09 - We've added a new page.... "Poll / Song Suggestions". As the name suggests, it's a

  page where you can vote from a selection of tracks to help us choose what songs to

  add to our set in the future. There's also a Suggestion box where you can leave any

  other ideas for us to consider.

29/03/09 - Thanks to everyone who came to see us at The Sportsman last night. We had a

  really good night and hope you did too! (NEW VIDEO ADDED BELOW!) .

  Our next gig is on Easter Monday at The Spread Eagle in Withernsea. We'll be

  taking to the stage in the afternoon (approx 3pm) so come and join us for a boozy

  afternoon do!

(especially Clubbers who was on fine boozy form while celebrating Liverpools' 4-1 thrashing of M*nch*ster Un*t*d! A huge GERRRP to the Red Men for that!!
